Pioneering Product Management Excellence - A StackRoute Initiative for Zensar
The Problem
To support high-velocity transformations, the client employs advanced execution models, a unique product engineering approach, and expert teams. To scale this approach effectively, it was crucial to build capable product engineering and management teams. One key focus area identified was the development of Graduate Management Recruits (GMRs) into skilled Product Owners who can quickly transition into client-facing roles. This requirement led to a 4-week custom learning intervention, providing a robust foundation in product management and preparing GMRs to be deployed as Product Owners.
The Solution
In response to this challenge, StackRoute designed a targeted 4-week Product Manager Training Programs aimed at GMRs. This program was meticulously developed to provide a robust foundation in product management, equipping recruits with the necessary skills to take on the roles of Product Owners effectively. The curriculum was crafted around StackRoute’s unique framework, which included intensive workshops, case studies, and real-world project simulations.
The Team Behind
The key team members of the learning and training program
Vishnupriya Raghavan, Santosh Subramaniam, Anirudh Vamanmurthy Parvatikar, Kavya N P, Adhish Nanda, Gaurav Baidyasen, Shruti Wadhwa, Anuron Mitra, Syed Shamshuddin, Tineshwari Pathade, Prathima Prabhu, Abhilash Chauhan, Sajid Patel, Sachin Grover, Neha Gade
The Impact
The program significantly transformed the GMRs, preparing them for critical client-facing roles where they managed, collaborated, and communicated effectively with external and internal stakeholders. Post-program, these new POs played pivotal roles in:
Developing and implementing product strategies that aligned with client requirements.
Assisting in developing product roadmaps, defining user stories, and managing project dependencies.
Building a unified digital platform that linked various data sources across the client’s operations, reducing hundreds of manual touchpoints and enabling real-time access to critical data.
The learning intervention was recognized with a Brandon Hall Gold Award in 2022 for supporting a change transformation business strategy, underscoring its strategic importance and success in meeting the client's needs.
The program's success was evident not only in the operational improvements and accolades received but also in the testimonials from top executives. The Chief Operating Officer highlighted the exceptional partnership with StackRoute in conceptualizing and executing the program, which had been instrumental in developing a robust cadre of Product Managers.
